Coaching | Legal
Our coaching service offers leaders a chance to experience guided conversations towards tangible and intangible goals. Our unique approach has been refined over decades and is highly distinctive, due to its foundation in questions of being, through Elizabeth’s academic research, which unites questions of ideology, authority, meaning-creation, vocation, intuition and action.
Coaching tends in two directions: For ‘first half of life’ questions, the approach is more centred on concrete action, behaviour and habit formation, and the translation of intention into reality. For ‘second half of life’ questions, the approach tends more towards inner meanings and structures, values, inherited inner narratives and positions, and ‘true voice’.
We have experience with coaching leaders at all levels from junior to Partner/CEO level. Examples include supporting a CEO in initiating company-wide culture change and accompanying the selection processes for senior level appointments.
In this particular case, Elizabeth worked with the CEO of a legal firm to set a framework for supporting leaders in their assessment process for the position of Managing Partner. Leaders were allocated a specific project and received two coaching sessions to enable them to identify their individual strengths, and to apply those to the role. Leaders reported increased confidence and resilience in their leadership style, and in particular a greater ability to communicate their own leadership style, and its process and benefits. This enabled greater understanding between leaders and teams, and more engaged followership.
