Our online learning experience design brings the same mood to online learning as it does to embodied experiences in the classroom.
While we believe profoundly in the communal experience of being together in physical space, as an expression and integration of our full humanity, we are acutely aware that online experiences can connect people and places that would otherwise be out of reach.
We design online learning experiences distinctive for simplicity, depth, joy, sincerity. Our work is ambitious, aiming for immediate and long term impact, and genuine interchange, connection and encouragement within the group.
As an example, we redesigned a three-day classroom learning experience into a day-long online learning experience to enable young professionals grow their skills in the context of a global pandemic and high levels of remote working, some without an experience of in-person working life. Eluding the simplistic lure of the cut, condense and cram approach, we entirely reorientated the experience towards directly engaging with the the most pressing felt-learning needs of the participants. While this entailed an element of risk, being highly dependent on participant engagement level, the resulting experience allowed individuals to take genuine time to reflect on, share and solve the most pressingly difficult challenges of their working experience, and to reframe them via a combination of self-leadership and strengths based-thinking, alongside a fresh perspectives on the skills required. In combination with the courage-detonating power of true connection through time and space for genuine group discussions and enquiry, individuals produced game-changing perspectives on difficult situations and places to stretch themselves, and left energised, encouraged and with personally-tailored approaches to the both pressing needs as business professionals and longer-term development as leaders.
