Online Inner Development Adventure | diverse

Our online inner development adventures use daily storytelling and sharing of personal stories of experimentation and reflection to build communities of transformation.  For toromiros we resurrect the online adventures that were run through evolute.

In 2010, a brave group of 25 pioneers signed up for an adventure* into the real final frontier, inner space. Over the next 40 days, they experimented with new ways of seeing, thinking and doing. As they travelled a new language emerged, ‘slowment’, ‘acoustic community’, ‘wabi-sabi’, ‘waiting for the right wave’. New poets emerged, vision, insight, clarity and honesty revealed deeper truths and deeper selves.

Online adventures combine depth psychology, useful philosophy, literature (including foreign novels and poetry in translation), art, leadership theory, online videos, music and experiences drawn from everyday life. You will receive an email every day with a short insight and points for reflection and action and will be able to join the adventure community online to share and post your insights.

Historically, online adventures have run as lent adventure in the spring and occasionally an advent-ure in December. (Despite the names, these adventures are not specific to any religious tradition. They just borrow these pre-established seasons to help focus our explorations.) advent-ure is a bit gentler, the lent adventure a bit more challenging, to reflect the different demands and opportunities of those times of year.

Our inner adventures mirror the effect of reading 'serious literature', recently found to have a transformative impact on the brain.  The experience of 'surprise without error' is associated with an increase in an individual's freedom, creativity and sense of self (see for example hbr and the reader)

The next online adventure will be advertised on Elizabeth’s LinkedIn or do mail us here.

*The earlier adventures took place through Elizabeth’s forerunner company, evolute
